The Fan's Final

Core to developing the Celeros persona ecosystem is enhancing the experience for race Fans. We aim to make it as exciting as it is for the competitors.

During the Community Tournament Race Series we will bring to life the Fan's journey by testing the idea of picking a Winner in the Final (streamed live).

Introduction for our Fans

We are giving you, the fans, an opportunity to take a little extra risk and see if you can pick the winner in the final of Community Tournament Series and come out on top with some awesome prizes. Back your favourite racing Finalist, receive an XP boost, watch the final and see where you land on the updated leaderboard.

How it will work

Join the Celeros Community Challenge on Discord: https://discord.gg/celeros
Accumulate as much XP as you can by completing the tasks provided (start now if you haven't already!!)
Review your accumulated XP on the Zealy Community Challenge Leaderboard: https://zealy.io/cw/celeroschallenge/leaderboard
Review the Finalist Leaderboard and their race performance data to date on the Community Tournament webpage: https://celeros.gg/community-tournament-final
Decide if you want to take part. Spend 500 XP to enter, which is then used to allocate to your XP return
Enter the Fan's Final considering and dependant on:
1. Your position on the Celeros Community Challenge Leaderboard before the Final Results are in
2. The odds against the Finalist to win
3. Your expected pool of other entrants (not publically shared)
4. Your estimated XP return and the affect on your position on the leaderboard after the Final Results are in
5. Your desire to take part
Submit your vote for the Finalist (Here) you believe will win and affect your position on the leaderboard (making sure to do it well before the race commences)
Watch the race live and watch your chosen Finalist destroy the competition
View your new position in the Celeros Community Challenge Leaderboard based on XP updates (hosted on Celeros.gg not zealy)

Calculation

XP rewards = ((500XP * Odds of Finalist to be place 1st, 2nd or 3rd) / # fans in pool) + existing XP held in Community Zealy Challenge Leaderboard

Key Considerations:

1 - Each Finalist will have different XP return odds dependant on their position on the leaderboard (see below)

2 - You will only receive a return on the 500XP allocated if the Finalist you selected comes 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

3 - XP rewards are calculated by multiplying 500XP by the probability of finalists choosing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. The result is divided by the total fans in the pool, and this value is added to the existing XP on Zealy’s community challenge leaderboard

4 - It will cost you 500XP to take part in the Fans Final BUT if you don't select a finalist that comes in (1st, 2nd or 3rd) you will lose the 500XP.

Scenario 1

You hold 5000 XP from challenges completed in the Community Challenges in Zealy

Before the Fan's Final you are in position 2 in the Community Challenge Leaderboard

You decide to take part and you receive an additional 500XP to take part

You choose Finalist "Monk" who is placed in 5 in qualifying but wins with odds of 1:8

There are 30 other Fans in your pool so you receive 133 extra XP + the 500XP for taking part, giving you a total uplift to 5633 XP and you move to 1st place in the final leaderboard

You receive a signed Helmet from the legendary, gentleman that is Brunno Senna. Its too small to fit on your head so you use it to protect your cat on long motorbike rides in the country together

Scenario 2

You hold 5500 XP from challenges completed in the Community Challenges in Zealy

Before the Fan's Final you are in position 1 in the Community Challenge Leaderboard

You decide NOT take part in the Fan's Final because you are confident none will pick the correct winner and you will hold your position even after the spectacular Final is live streamed

You retain your 5500XP

You lose your spot (see scenario 1) and instead receive the honour of having the first Grandstand in Aero Bay named after you

Because you are grateful for Monk being such a legendary racer, you decide to name the Grandstand "The Monastery"

How do I increase my chance of winning?

Take part in #communitychallenge in the discord channel and build up your XP
Pick a racer that comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the final

How will I receive my prizes?

We will reach out via discord and get any details we need. You will need an address that your regularly access if it is a physical prizes. All postage costs will be covered by SWG

What happens if I'm part of the Community Challenge leaderboard but choose not to bet?

Your XP will remain the same, this might be a good option if you are near the top of the leaderboard; you decide!?

Is there any cash involved?

No, definitely not, only prizes and XP will be utilised

What can I lose?

Well a couple of things:

1 - Your leaderboard reign and bragging rights

2 - Your XP entrance fee to take part

Can I still change my vote later on after I submit it?

You can change you vote anytime up to the 5th Febbruary 2024. After that it's set

How will I know where I sit on the leaderboard?

Pre-Final = via the zealy leaderboard (note: the XP used to take part in the Fans' Final will not be shown as deducted in the Zealy Leaderboard)

Post-Final = Celeros.gg

Can I take part in the Fan's Final if I'm a competitor in the race?

No sorry, it's a legal thing
